Identity Careers is the partnership of two experienced NGO workers and professional coaches, Comfort Osilaja and Kevin Cusack. Together they offer you over 30 years of combined experience of working in the International Development sector. Comfort and Kevin are committed to and experienced in helping people develop careers in the international development sector. Their complementary skills and knowledge form the basis of the unique identity careers partnership.

comfort osilaja
An international development professional with over 15 years experience in the sector, Comfort started her career working with Anti-Slavery as an administrator before moving to CAFOD where she worked for over 12 years, starting as a projects assistant working on South Africa and Sudan and working in a variety of roles in the Africa Department before becoming the Nigeria Programme Manager. Comfort left CAFOD in 2007 and spent 6 months working at MERLIN where she was responsible for running the external training programme, including the hugely popular “Introduction to Relief & Emergencies” Training Course.
In addition to her international development background, Comfort has considerable coaching & mentoring experience. She worked for just under two years with PATH National Ltd, where she managed a portfolio of traineeships, guiding and supporting the trainees as they developed their chosen careers. She has also worked in a mentoring role for community based organisations and with individuals in the areas of organisational development and career development. Identity Careers provides her with the opportunity for greater to combine her twin passions; working in International Development and providing coaching guidance and support to International Development Professionals in what can often be a challenging and complex environment. She has a warm and pragmatic approach when working with clients and is excellent at responding to individual needs. Comfort has a MSC in Human Resources from University of the South Bank, and a Post Graduate Diploma in NGO Management from City University London. She is a trained coach having completed her qualification with the Institute for Life Coach Training. |
kevin cusack
Kevin is co-founder of Identity Careers and a charity Trustee and Company Secretary and regularly volunteers his business expertise to NGOs. He is Europe's leading International Development life coach.
Over 10 years he has regularly presents seminars at events such as forum3 and is repeatedly invited to speak at many UK Universities and student events, such as the Careers Group University of London's "Getting into International Development", the student network U8, Positive Change at LSE, United Nations & Regent's College and alternative career fairs. Kevin has also contributed to the Open University's The Volunteering and Work Experience Forum and the Guardian's Online Q&A International Development Forum where he provides ideas and strategies for people to move forward. He has a wealth of practical experience of working with clients based overseas and in the UK. Expert Advice He is quoted in career articles on Devex and Jobs4Development, is the author of WSEs Volunteer for Development and the editor of Working in Development. Qualified with a MA, ECONNF Life Coach Diploma and an NLP Diploma, he offers considerable experience of practical coaching and mentoring, working one to one with people who want to work in the International Development industry. |
